Verification Process
No Barriers Foundation will verify your documentation and ensure your application is complete.
Once verified, an authorised representative will sign and date the application before it is forwarded to Donegal Volunteer Centre for processing through the National Vetting Bureau.
If any information is missing or requires clarification, you may be contacted before your application can proceed.
Important: Check Your Email Regularly
Once No Barriers Foundation has submitted your verified application to Donegal Volunteer Centre, the next stage of the Garda Vetting process takes place directly between the National Vetting Bureau and the applicant.
You will receive an email from the National Vetting Bureau containing a link to complete the required online vetting form. This is a mandatory stage of the Garda Vetting process and must be completed before a vetting result can be issued.
Please check your email regularly, including your spam or junk folder, as important correspondence may occasionally be filtered there.
It is important to note that once your application has been submitted to Donegal Volunteer Centre, No Barriers Foundation has no visibility of, or involvement in, the processing of your application by the National Vetting Bureau. We are not notified of delays, outstanding actions, requests for additional information, or application progress updates.
For this reason, applicants are responsible for monitoring their email account and responding promptly to any communication received from the National Vetting Bureau. Failure to complete the online vetting stage or respond to requests for additional information may result in delays to your application.
Processing Times
Typical processing times are approximately 4-6 weeks, although this may vary depending on application volumes and the completeness of the information provided.
Applicants will be notified once a vetting result has been received.
Important Notice
Incorrect information, incomplete forms, unsigned documentation, or missing proof of identity and address will result in delays and may require your application to be resubmitted.
To avoid delays, please ensure that:
- All sections are completed clearly and accurately.
- Supporting documentation is included.
- Your contact details are correct and up to date.
- You monitor your email account, including your spam/junk folder, throughout the vetting process.
